OF THE RACE

Participation in the Lions Half-marathon and 10km, Rueil-Malmaison implies express acceptance by each runner of the regulations below.


ORGANIZATION
The Rueil Malmaison Lions Club association is organizing the 13th edition of the Lions Half-marathon in Rueil-Malmaison on Sunday March 10, 2024, consisting of two road events: a half-marathon and a 10 km running race.


DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENTS
The races, at free pace, are open to everyone, licensed or not, in the following categories: cadet, born before 2008 (10km only), Junior, born before 2006, Espoir, Senior, Master 0 , 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
All participating athletes must have an official bib (neither folded nor cut).
Failure to comply with these provisions will result in disqualification of the rider concerned. Any accompanying person, particularly on a bicycle or roller skate, is prohibited, under penalty of disqualification of the competitor. The decisions of the organizers regarding the regularity of the events will be final. Signalers supported by the police will be placed on the route to ensure the safety of the runners.

Mileage – Refueling : each kilometer is indicated, a refreshment point is organized approximately every 5 kilometers. For safety reasons, backpacks, water bags and bottle holders are not permitted.
Medical assistance : medical assistance with a doctor is provided by Civil Protection. The emergency services will be authorized to exclude any competitor appearing unfit to continue in one of the events.
Starting line – near the entrance to the Parc des Bords-de-Seine

Start of the 10KM at 9:30 a.m.

Start of the half marathon at 10:30 a.m.
Cloakrooms : changing rooms in building, near the start/finish line.

Instructions : in the Parc des Bords-de-Seine
Participation : The half-marathon is open to licensed or non-licensed runners. Participants must be at least 18 years old on the day of the event.
Course : the 21.1 km course is made up of a 5km loop and 2 laps
Limited time: In order to be able to re-open the roads to automobile traffic as soon as possible, a time limit is imposed. Based on a race time of 2h40 for the 21,100 km, the time limit to pass in front of the stadium after the first lap is set at 1h40. Any runner passing after 12:10 p.m. will therefore be excluded from the race.
The infrastructure for the 10 km race will be the same as that for the half marathon.


REGISTRATION • MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
Registrations are done by internet or mail. No registration by telephone or fax will be accepted. Registration is possible on site the same day depending on places available.
The Lions Half-marathon will soon open its registrations on the Protiming website.

  • Online on the website www. Protiming.fr, with secure payment, until Thursday March 7, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. or until the number limit is reached bibs. Automatic allocation of the bib number with sending of a certificate of registration upon registration of payment.

  • By mail, until Monday March 4, 2023, by returning the official bulletin registration at the Lions Club of Rueil-Malmaison, 39 avenue Victor Hugo – BP 48 – 92500 Rueil-Malmaison.

  • On site, at the Parc des Bords-de-Seine, the same day from 8:00 a.m., subject to the number of bibs available. Registrations are strictly limited to 2000 bibs for the half-marathon and 1000 bibs for the 10 km for this 13th edition.

 

Only registrations accompanied by either a photocopy of the F.F.A. license. (Athlé Competition license, Athlé Entreprise license, Athlé Running license or “Pass' J'aime Courir”, completed by the doctor), or a medical certificate (or its photocopy) of contraindication to the practice of running feet in competition, dating less than one year from the date of the event (Articles 231-2 and 231-3 of the Sports Code) and the payment of the registration will be taken into account.
Foreign participants are all required to provide a dated, signed medical certificate in French (regardless of the doctor's country of establishment) or to which a French translation is attached, dated less than one year on the date. of the competition, including one of the following:

  • “No contraindication to the practice of competitive sport”

  • “No contraindication to the practice of athletics in competition”

  • “No contraindication to competitive running. »


COLLECTION OF BIBS
The bibs will be collected at the Parc des Bords-de-Seine on Saturday March 9, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. or Sunday March 10, 2024, between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. (on presentation of an identity document). No bibs will be sent by mail. The bib must be completely legible during the race under penalty of disqualification.


CANCELATION
Any commitment is firm and final and cannot be refunded for any reason whatsoever.
In the event of force majeure, natural disaster, or any event beyond the control of the organization which does not allow the smooth running of the races, the Lions Club of Rueil-Malmaison reserves the right to cancel one or more other of the events, or all of the events, without the competitors being able to claim any reimbursement. All competitors acknowledge having read these regulations and accept all their clauses, under penalty of disqualification. No transfer of registration is authorized for any reason whatsoever. Any person returning their bib to a third party will be held responsible in the event of an accident occurring or caused by the latter during the event.

CHRONOMETRAGE
Timing will be carried out by an official timekeeper (Protimig). All registrants will be given an electronic chip integrated into the bib and which will be automatically initialized on the starting line. A competitor who does not use the entire route of the event cannot be classified at the finish.


RANKING AND REWARDS
All results will be available on theProtiming site.
Planned rankings: scratch, by category for men and women, company challenge, best rueilloise and best rueilloise.
Rewards: only runners present at the prize giving ceremony will receive their prize.


TRAFFIC ON THE COURSE
Bicycles, wheeled and/or motorized vehicles are strictly prohibited on the route except for organization, security and health/emergency vehicles.


IMAGE RIGHTS
Each runner expressly authorizes the organizers of the Rueil-Malmaison half-marathon, as well as their beneficiaries such as partners and media, to use the still or audiovisual images in which they may appear, taken during their participation in the half-marathon. -marathon or associated events. This concerns media including promotional documents and
advertising as well as books published throughout the world for the longest duration provided for by the law, regulations, treaties in force, including any extensions which could be made to this duration.

In accordance with the Data Protection and Freedom Act of January 6, 1978, competitors have the right to access and rectify personal data concerning them.
When you register, you will benefit from a subscription to the race's IT newsletter. However, you will have the possibility to unsubscribe very easily by clicking on the link at the bottom of each newsletter sent or by simple written request to: lions-rueilmalmaison@myassoc.org
If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, you will no longer receive practical information relating to the race.


INSURANCE
Participation is at the participant’s own risk. The organizers are covered by civil liability insurance. Licensees benefit from insurance guarantees linked to their license. It falls upon the other participants to personally insure themselves. The organization declines all responsibility in the event of an accident caused by physical or psychological impairment, as well as in the event of theft or damage which could occur during the sporting event.
